optimize network connections for a more efficient system

When you start out with a new partner or offer a new service, defining and setting expectations requires crystal clear communication so you can make the connections to launch your offering. Each connection provides very specific capabilities that depend on technical details, so you need to be sure you know what you need and what you’re getting. With millions of technical combinations possible and a constant tide of additions and amendments, it’s easy to be uncertain.

With the family of TruOps Common Language Connections Information Service you can stay in sync. Our platform provides a single set of rules and language for identifying each type of connection and allowing you to achieve efficient interconnection with other service providers and everyone in your ecosystem. Our series of code sets includes Common Language CLFI Codes, Common Language CLCI MSG Codes, Common Language CLCI S/S Codes and Common Language Network Channel and Network Channel Interface (NC/NCI) Codes. The codes allow you to describe the technical attributes of a network connection in a clear, concise and meaningful way so that you effectively and efficiently track every connection within your network and also complete your interworking orders correctly the first time, and every time. Your company saves time and money because when you remove data ambiguity, you can accelerate communication between business divisions, corporate partners and even vendors, which dramatically increases operational efficiency.

achieve efficient interconnection

Connections codes are used in more than 17 million interconnection service orders per year. They provide you with the reference data that identifies the rules and language by which all connections are to be identified, helping to improve network efficiency in your organization, and industry wide. Use Connection Codes to:

  • Design layouts
  • Complete work orders
  • Simplify network analysis
  • Assign circuits
  • Track communications traffic

consistency saves time and money

Order access services easily with a single data infrastructure representing network channels and circuit interface characteristics. Using NC/NCI Codes, you can identify the technical details of channels and interface elements provided by an exchange carrier or other service provider, from the point of termination (POT) at another carrier’s point of presence (POP) to a second point of termination, enabling faster processing times.

Get a complete end-to-end description of a facility’s designation. Whether it is for cable, fiber, radio, analog- and digital-carrier transmission – using CLFI Codes and CLFI Bank Codes together allows you to design layouts more efficiently. CLFI Codes include data elements that identify a facility's designation and type as well as the channel or pair number. They also incorporate CLLI Codes to indicate a facility's end locations. CLFI Bank Codes identify the line-interfacing equipment and are assigned to plug-in circuit cards and frames by being associated with a CLEI Code.

Create circuits more efficiently with a stable naming scheme representing special-service circuit characteristics. Using CLCI S/S Codes, you can clearly identify the class and type of service, telephone number, PBX extension or trunk, multi-point legs and sections and other details of the communications circuit, which makes provisioning and billing seamless.

Leverage common reference data that tracks communication traffic by volume and type, found in our CLCI MSG Codes. These details are critical for regulatory reporting and are indispensable for revenue accounting and forecasting organizations.

gain alignment with interconnection partners

Enable rapid and accurate inter-carrier ordering, using consistent identification of interconnection point characteristics with the following code types:

CLCI MSG Codes

These unique codes simplify network analysis and circuit assignment by providing you with a stable naming scheme for describing message-trunk circuits. They identify the number, office class, traffic use, trunk-type modifier, type and direction of pulsing, and originating and terminating office locations for individual trunks and trunk groups. They track communications traffic by volume and type and can be used to create reports for regulatory agencies and revenue accounting and forecasting organizations.

CLCI S/S Codes

These provide you with a stable naming scheme for describing special-service circuits. When used on forms, orders, requests and bills, these codes link every aspect of efficient circuit provisioning. They detail the class of service (intra- or interstate), type of service (data or non-data), telephone number, PBX extension or trunk and multi-point legs and sections of the communications circuit.

CLFI Codes

The standard identification for identifying the termination of a facility, describing cable, fiber, radio, analog- and digital-carrier transmission facilities as well as the channel or pair number. CLFI Codes include data elements that identify a facility's designation and type as well as the channel or pair number. They also incorporate CLLI Codes to indicate a facility's end locations. CLFI Bank Codes identify the line-interfacing equipment and are assigned to plug-in circuit cards and/or frames by being associated with a CLEI Code.

NC/NCI Codes

These provide you with a stable naming scheme for describing network channels, circuit-interface characteristics and associated interface specifications. NC/NCI Codes simplify network analysis and circuit assignment by identifying the number, office class, traffic use, trunk-type modifier, type and direction of pulsing, and originating and terminating office locations for individual trunks and trunk groups. These codes streamline the provisioning and billing processes and their standard, compact format makes it easy for you to order access services.
